DA vs. prosecutor,很常在CSI and NCIS看到,之前不知道他們的差別,原來prosecutor是檢察官的通稱,DA/District Attorney(美)則是地方檢察官,因為主要是美國的檢調系統,所以也有州級的SA/States Attorney。

羈押(聲押)的英文

今天要來分享羈押(聲押)/detain,另外一個用法也可以用take (someone) into custody. EX 1: The police detained 3 people suspected of criminal acts. EX 2: The suspect was taken into custody by the prosecutor this morning.

最近國內外都有有爭議性的審判正在進行,本來以為對司法用語還可以,沒有想到還差的遠,先來分享無罪開釋/acquittal, 例句:The case ends in acquittal. 順道分享判決/verdict的說法:

He hopes he could be acquitted of all charges against him in the next trial.

He was acquitted on a slander charge last week.
