A. D. and B.C....C.E. and B.C.E. 差別....

A. D. and B. C. 這是在唸書時代很常看到的字（因為得看很多西洋文學和理論的書...），但老實說我大學時代認識的單字真的不多，那時候光是要搞懂文章內容，就快要抓狂了，雖然知道A. D. and B.C.的意思，B.C.很好懂也很好記：Before Christ，指的是在耶穌誕生前，for example, 500 B.C.代表的就是耶穌誕生前500年，雖然大學時就知道A.D.指的是從耶穌誕生後開始計算的年份，for example, 100 A. D. 指的是耶穌誕生後100年，但當時我並沒有去深究A.D. 是哪兩個單字縮寫而來，直到今天才默默去查了一下，Ａ. D. 是拉丁字anno Domini的縮寫，在google大神查到的英文對照字意：in the era of our lord，不過從20世紀開始，學者和科學家就開始提倡使用C.E.（Common/Current Era）and B. C. E. (Before Common/Current Era) 取代A.D. and B.C.，但其實C. E. 也有人用作Christian Era就是了（結果還是宗教味十足啊！）
